Missing in Paradise

"A Jake Falcon Mystery" (fiction)

Nobody But the People big book cover

Jake Falcon is a burned-out Vietnam-era fighter pilot. After the Air Force retires him early, he becomes a civilian "troubleshooter."

Jake has his own plane and will fly anywhere, anytime, if the skies aren't too stormy and the pay is right.

When jet-set supermodel Jade Devereaux hires Falcon to find her missing sepfather (mega- bucks Mobile attorney and former U.S. Congressman Cash Devereaux, who disappeared during a pleasure trip to Costa Rica) the high-flying sleuth becomes a moving target for the CIA, the FBI, and an octopus-like crime syndicate whose tentacles reach from far south of the border to the U.S. Gulf Coast.

Come fly with Jake as he tries to elude his mysterious followers, attempts to contact the shadowy General Brandywine, works to find out if the beautiful Miss Devereaux is telling him all she knows, travels far and wide in search of the missing millionaire, and most importantly, tries to stay alive.

"This is my kind of book -- an action-packed thriller that kept me guessing and coming back for more. And Jake Falcon is my kind of guy -- tough, resilient, and not afraid to take on the bad guys or the establishment. Thumbs up all the way!"

- Brig. Gen. Harry C. "Heinie" Aderholt, USAF (Retired)

"The author draws on his military history expertise to flesh out the main characters and the environments in which they operate in this mystery novel. The descriptive passages paint realistic pictures and give life to the many scenes. The action is fast-paced and the windup is surprising. A very good read and a great setup for more Jake Falcon mystery novels!"

- Maj. Gen. Richard V. Secord, USAF (Retired)
